This is a cool idea! Download the 2016 Maryland Ice Cream Trail Passport. Visit each of the nine (9) Maryland dairy farms in the program. Get your passport stamped while eating ice cream at each stop. Need I say more … it’s ICE CREAM!!!

This is a Maryland Department of Agriculture program to promote dairy farms in the state. The program starts at the beginning of National Dairy Month (June). The nine farms in this year’s program are:

  1. Broom’s Bloom Dairy (Harford County)
  2. Chesapeake Bay Farms (Worcester County)
  3. Keyes Creamery (Harford County)
  4. Kilby Cream (Cecil County)
  5. Misty Meadows Farm Creamery (Washington County)
  6. South Mountain Creamery (Frederick County)
  7. Prigel Family Creamery (Baltimore County)
  8. Rocky Point Creamery (Frederick County)
  9. Woodbourne Creamery at Rock Hill Orchard (Montgomery County / New for 2016)

You can plan three weekend trips if you want to cover all nine creameries quickly:

  • Weekend I
  • Book a hotel in one of the small towns in Frederick County. You can visit:
    • Misty Meadows Farm Creamery
    • South Mountain Creamery
    • Rocky Point Creamery
    • Woodbourne Creamery at Rock Hill Orchard
  • Weekend II
  • Book a hotel in Hunt Valley, Md. You can visit:
    • Kilby Cream
    • Broom’s Bloom Dairy
    • Keyes Creamery
    • Prigel Family Creamery
  • Road Trip to one of the locations for Chesapeake Bay Farms

Please note: all of the creameries are open year-round but call or check the website for hours. Hours change based on season or time of year.
