I have to visit Smith Island, Maryland after reading this post by Muriel J. Smith on www.ahherald.com. Muriel describes a beautiful island with friendly people. The island is accessible only by boat which makes it a unique spot. According to the article, there are about 300 residents living on the island year round and most are descendants of the first five families who settled there in the 17th century. I’m sure you’ll add this place to your bucket list after reading the article.
